And until the pal8 issues are fixed, what do you gain by clutching at the use of monow for this unique case of 1 bpp raw AVI without a palette, when everything else (QuickTime raw and RLE, BMP) uses pal8 for 1 bpp? Isn't it better to apply my patch before I forget what I did, and take care of the pal8 issues later on?
