Accuracy increases rarely matter for anything in FFmpeg, and as you
say wrt floating point things anyway are not well specified, vary
across platforms, etc. Thus, FATE should always pass, and even
visually/audibly these things rarely matter.

Point taken though: the only clear changes are ones which are Pareto
improvements for speed and accuracy: this one is not.

Patch shelved, kept locally in case we need some more accuracy in the
future. Thanks.
