I also view FFmpeg as something for which it is best to be on master due to its nature, so philosophically as well I have little interest in backports. However, if it reduces work for you, or others who backport, please tell me whenever you review whether something I fixed should be backported, and which release branch to push to. I just feel that these are best done by those who have higher interest in it - after all, work is best done by those who are motivated to do it. Alternatively, we can just continue with the status quo from my end: I work on master, release and backport business handled by others.
