Wouldn't it be simpler to just use a hardcoded array like { 0, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 3 } for 6.1 (and other arrays for the other layouts) instead of using the channel layout API to do it (after all, the order of channels in enum AVChannel won't change)? This would avoid the allocations inherent in av_channel_layout_from_string() as well as the function calls in atrac3p_decode_frame().
