Although it has been deprecated from version 2.20, version 2.19 adds the _DEFAULT_SOURCE macro added in Feb 2014, see e.g man feature_test_macros.
I posted this because lots of major projects have now shifted to the new macros, it has been available for 1.5 years now, and the old macros are deprecated.
