That is true. On the other hand, this code has mostly been laying around without major changes and without being an annoyance, and it is pretty possible that the new code will just supersedes it and keep the good situation intact. I suggest we can decide what to do about alternate implementation if and when the need arises, be it because an user has troubles that are fixed by the Xlib implementation or because someone wants to develop or implement tests. (As for tests, considering they would need a dummy X11 server, I bet they are not coming anytime soon.) Regards, -- Nicolas George
