Hello,

We list 2 africana lots on this auction which started on Thursday 23rd
January 2020.

Details of the auction are to be found at:

http://www.antiquarianauctions.com

Visit this site for fuller descriptions and images. You need to
register to take part in the auction and antiquarianauctions.com will
be pleased to assist you with the bidding process - which is actually
simplicity in itself. If you can log in, you can bid. Registration is
easy and the site does not ask for too many personal details.

This is their auction #80. It is now open for bidding and closes on
Thursday 30th January at 16.30 GMT (being 6.30 pm local time here in
SA).

We have the following lots on offer:

--------------------------------------

Lot 349
#27378 Stephen Black. (Ed).
THE SJAMBOK. Volume 2. No. 19. Friday August 22, 1930.
Published by CNA for the proprietors., Johannesburg.
36pp stapled illustrated periodical.

"A Weekly Critical Paper For The Spreading Of Truth". A satirical
magazine that might be regarded as the 'Private Eye' or the 'Noseweek'
of the 1930s!

A rare ephemeral item in excellent condition.

Lot 356
#27467 Rodger Commercial & Press Photos
GANDHI AND JINNAH
Bombay, nd. c.1944

Original 162mm x 207mm bromide print shows Gandhi and Jinnah walking
side by side.

--------------------------------------

Any additional information, images, assistance, as required in
connection with the above items and the bidding process can be
provided on request - including p&p estimates for overseas clients.

IMPORTANT: The items are on the auction and no pre-auction offers will
be considered. Items will, if unsold, revert to our previous listed
price and no post-auction offers will be considered. If you wish to
purchase an item at auction-level prices, please bid for it.

The auction allows 'proxy bids' whereby it judiciously spends up to
your maximum bid to stay just ahead of the other bidders - only as long
as they do not have a proxy bid in excess of yours. If you are the only
bidder then it will not exceed the reserve price until another bidder
enters a higher bid. Speak to us if you are unsure on how to use this
feature.

NO 'Buyers Premium' charged on this auction, which means that the
purchaser is paying the hammer price clear of the surcharge levied by
many other auction houses. Buyers Premium adversely affects the prices
bid to the detriment of the seller.

Bidding closes: Thursday 30th January 2020 16.30 GMT (6.30 pm local SA
time)
