I can't duplicate that one. On my hardware 9.1 has been the first
release that out of the box worked on my hardware. Especially after I
started getting all of the updates from Vincent. plf and Texstar.
(Compaq M700 Notebook btw) However, If what you have works, and works
solid. Why upgrade? Reliability has nothing to do with the cutting
edge (Why in fact SuSE has just gone to a 2 year upgrade cycle with
"mini releases" in between.) I'm thinking real hard about not moving to
9.2 here. Only reason to do it would be to stay current with this
list. 9.1 out of the box and not at all upgraded... yep. problems.
Hit the urpmi lists. Run the upgrades and you'll find things starting
to go real smooth. Oh and don't out think urpmi. Just do
urpmi --auto --auto-select after adding texstar, updates, plf, lists etc
and you'll find yourself sailing real smooth. If you try to out think
the OS .... it will byte you in the 6 every time.
