Ok, Miracles do happen.. I've got wireless working flawlessly on my laptop. (one letter change in the config file to reflect a different model of my card uggh.) Now I need to know one thing. Has anyone found a program that will allow you to create/switch profiles on the fly. Right now I have 3 ifcfg files that a bash script switches and restarts pcmcia to get me on one of the nets (home office and generic with no wepkey) If it's really this simple why are all of the profile programs I've found requiring me to hold one leg out the window with my tongue on the right side of my mouth holding down ctrl-alt-delete and 156 entries in various files to modify lilo on the fly. (ok I exaggerate a bit.)
Is there a simple program that lets me create and switch profiles? Winders can do it and dang it I want to be able to as well. (without btw rebooting!) James -- -Systems vs convergance- Thank goodness mechanical engineers didn't think convergance, like software engineers. If they did, we would all be doing our laundry in the trunk of the car, and cooking over the engine.
