I have been using a serial cradle with my Handspring Visor but it is incredibly slow. After the recent discussions here I decided to try USB again. I am lost. How can you go about linking /dev/visor or /dev/pilot to a device that doesn't exist until you sync. Also how can you make sure HOTPLUG is enabled and functioning. I have monitored /dev/usb/tty/ and during a sync operation I don't see any devices being created. I tried to disable devfs in Mandrake Control Center but it continues to run. I did this to try using some of the suggestions put forth on this list. Basically I'm lost. Start from the beginning or send me to some site other than the Visor/Linux site. Been there and tried it all. Using ML 9.0. Thanks, Clif
