I think what you really want is: fuser -mv /mnt/nt
This will give you (as man page says) '...All processes accessing files on that file system ...', so you'll have the guilty process ;-)) And if you want to know who and launched it: fuser -v /mnt/nt but it would probably say root and from kernel.
