You need to install the IMAP and POP daemons:

http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=imap&submit=Search+...&system=mandrake&arch=

Once installed, you will need to enable either ipop3, ipop2, or ipops, depending on 
your
preference.  I use ipop3, and it works fine.  Enable these through xinetd (#
/sbin/chkconfig --add ipop3 )
