Hoyt haven't worked with wireless but I have worked on some Dell laptops and they have a fun problem with PCMCIA as well with RH.... If the card is inserted during boot ... it will never come up no matter what you do. IF however the pcmcia card is not inserted at boot and then after I get to login (X version in my case) I get the beep and the network fires right up. Note that the twin of this laptop, with Mandrake 8.2 works fine... go figure. I even tried swapping nics.. (same model) No change.
