It's telling you that the patch is trying to apply itself, but it looks
like it is already applied.

I'm not suprised :)

The acpi patch is already applied against the Mandrake kernel.  You need
only enable it.  I know that enabling it causes problems on various Dell
mobos due to an apparently buggy acpi implementation (I suppose it's
possible that the Linux acpi code is not entirely compliant either, but
that's neither here nor there).
