If by attbi You mean ATT Cable... then The fact that some sites are slow to conncect seems to be a function of there DNS configuration. It's slow to update and doesn't seem to be able to "discover" new (to it) locations. My e-mail server for my compnay is an example... Finally had to put it's IP in /etc/hosts becasue ATT kept losing it. If you know of a properly configured DNS server someplane.. I recommend using it as a secondary or tertiary nameserver.
