Okay, I've read with some interest and mild disbelief how some have been
blasted for attempting to post a bug report here. I've attempted to give a
report with my limited time where Mandrake says to. (Please no flames, I just
wanted to quickly give some info on, in the hopes if there are some problems
they can be addressed)

Several months ago I gave Mandrake some money to help them out. big deal.
Point? I would expect I could submit a bug report without have to "purchase
units", when I attempt to submit a bug report where they say to go?? What
really makes me crazy, is they allow you to spend your time entering the info
and then when you go to submit the report, only then do they disallow it. Not
to mention that I've submitted 3 in the past and 2 of them were totally gone
unread according to the web site. At least stuff gets responded to here.

What I was complaining about is how hard it is to get the info to them even
though they claim they want input. If they really do, then make it so we can
report easily. I really don't have time right now to start up the cooker list
and try to stay up.

Here is what I attempted to leave in mandrake expert as instructed on the
website at linux-mandrake.com

Very frustrating. I'm using Mandrake 8.2 to attempt to make a report on
9.0rc1. I can't cut and paste from Mozilla to KDE mailer,

I atttempted to follow your directions below:

2) If you don\'t have time to get deeply involved but have a good level of
Linux knowledge, the best bet is to ask for a BugZilla account for posting
bug reports. To obtain a BugZilla account, send an email to \'[EMAIL PROTECTED]
and got an error message back saying that: ERROR process: [EMAIL PROTECTED] is
not a valid qa.mandrakesoft.com login. Please first create a account with a
valid mail address.

I thought the whole pupose was to "GET AN ACCOUNT"!?!?!

I'm using a SY-P4S=545DX Dragon Ultra with a 2.2 P4 and a Highpoint IDE Raid
controller. I'm using a Creative PC-DVD drive. It started to boot on the DVD
player and failed with Status=0x51 and 0x34. I put disk 1 in my SCSI CD=RW
drive and it started out ok. I then got Warning: error while reading
partition table in sectors /0 at
usr/bin/perl-install/partition-table/empty.pm line 29. Warning: bad magic
unknown partition table. It wanted to destroy the partition. I told it no and
it just hung. I disabled the raid controller in CMOS rebooted and the SCSI
rebooted with I/O error: DEV 0300:0, sector 1238744. After a power down and
back up it was fine. It only used 1 CD even though I told it to use all three
disks. I tried this twice. As a result I couldn\'t use DHCP because that
didn\'t get installed. I gave it a manual IP address and it attempted to make
a boot disk. It defaulted to my LS120 drive and when it started to foramt the
HDA drive it started to give I/O error, DEV 03:00 IDE-FLOPPY: HDA: PC=2A, Key
7 ASC=27, ASCQ=0 I pretty much gave up at this point.
