Are you sure it's 8.2? I remember there being a problem like this in 8.1 but not on 8.2 (unless I'm confused...which can happen). Anyway, it was resolved in a security upgrade short after the release of whichever mdk it was. Upgrade to latest security patches and re-do the passwords of the users already existing and you should have no problems.
