I recently rebuilt my desktop after a catastrophic failure. In the rebuild I
picked up a linksys usb wlan device (WUSB11). I have only gotten windoze
reinstalled on it at this point (linux comes soon) and decided to test the
usb wlan device since I had nothing but problems when I tried using my Lucent
Orinoco card in a PCI to PCMCIA adaptor.

I setup my laptop again as an access point in linux (Zoomair card (Prism 2)
and the hostap_cs driver) and set the usb wlan device for infrastructure in
windoze. I entered the correct essid, no wep or other encryption at this
point, and viola! The usb wlan device connected to my linux AP. I can ping
back and forth, and I can see that the usb device has correctly acquired an
IP from my laptop which is also acting as a DHCP server. Great so far.

In windoze I set the desktop to be "Overlord" and set it to share files and
printers. On the linux laptop, I then tried to do a "smbclient -L 10.0.0.5"
to get a list of shares from the desktop. Nothing. No shares found. I also
tried "smbclient -L Overlord" with the same results. What am I missing in
trying to get file and print sharing going between a windoze (windows me) and
linux box? This is my first time trying this so be gentle with me please.
