I did that and I still con't connect via ssh over the internet. SSH works fine on the intranet (LAN). TCP port 22 shows open on a port scan. I can connect to webmin on my linux box over the internet. So, what could be causing my problem? It's probably some kind of configuration problem. I was wondering if one of the hops between the client and server could be causing a problem? Doesn't seem likely.
