Yes, there is a way, of course... Just don't use drakgw which is set up
for newbies, wizard style. Use the old ipcahins instructions updated
for iptables for your basic 3-line gateway and use Bastille-Interactive
to refine it. Then you must either add in DNS and DHCP or use static
IPs on the local and /etc/hosts on all the machines or NIS to keep track
of things.

The mini-firewall is very conservative... What you need to make NFS
work with it is as follows: (This is an earlier email today)
<quote>
  how do I allow all ports on
/etc/Bastille/bastille-firewall.cfg (section TCP_INTERNAL_SERVICES="?")?
TIA,
Marcio Cordero

TCP_INTERNAL_SERVICES="109 110 111 1024 725 728 1025 628 701 1028 1029"

Will work just fine in your firewall setttings--BTW though, you probably
also need to set the DNS allowed in the firewall settings to include
192.168.0.1 if ever you expand the local to include more than your
laptop or else the local machines will be unable to access each other by
name (and their IPs are all on DHCP).
