if you're talking about upgrading your installation of KDE the best and
easiest, and most often used method of Installation is to place all the
packages into a dir by themselves and then issue this command:
rpm -Uvh --test *.rpm
the "--test" argument will check for dependency issues. If there are
some then go to http://rpmfind.net and download the needed packages into
the dir with the rest of the kde upgrade packages. Then run the test
again. do this until the test runs clean and there are no more
dependency issues.
Then remove the "--test" argument and install the packages with this
command:
rpm -Uvh *.rpm
thats all there is to it.
