All DOS versions that don't use type 0Fh for the extended partition on
drives >8Gb or can't see anything past 8 Gb. W95OSR2 was the first with
the feature, and since that version is officially windoze rather than
DOS, it's safe enough just to say DOS can't. Those who have the later
version wouldn't be asking the original question, which is how you get
rid of Linux partitions from a DOS boot when FDISK wouldn't let you
delete a non-DOS partition.
