the hd.img image creaes a floppy that asks for the partition and directory 
that holds either the iso or files you wish to install from, no need to do 
any actual mounting yourself, the install does that, the only problem i have 
had with that todate is that i can only install packages that are in the 
first iso even though the other isos are in the smae directory and have the 
proper names the install doesn't seems to automatically moun them, i waited 
for some error so that perhaps i could alt-f2 and do it myself but the 
install just sailed through with a smaller package listing to choose from;
given that the install mount the relevant partition on a temp mount point 
during install it is probably not a good idea to store the isos in a 
partition you need to mount during the install, certainly didn't work for lm 
8.0 anyway
