Now, I wouldn't have guessed this.  Do you actually really think this
helped at all?

Anyway, I found out myself.  JohnX, please don't listen, since you
already know, but anyone else:

        /tmp /dest none bind 0 0

This did do the trick.  ie. using �none� as the fstype and �bind� as
(one of) the options.
