 I agree thats an OTT statement, there are occasions that SSH canot be
used on the internet, a prime example is the position I'm in at work.
My home is in Telford , England, I work in Gothenburg in Sweden, but to
get to my machine at home I have to use telnet , via a back door telnet
proxy server  in Stockholm.
This company has one hell of a tight firewall.
But of course I must be stupid like the rest, !
It a matter of choice which protocol you use, it has nothing to do with
stupidity or security.
