Thanks! > There is a known problem with the soundblaster live ALSA driver and I think all versions of Quake. The problem is that Quake attempt to do a direct mmap of the sound device which causes a memory protection or segmentation fault using the ALSA drivers. I haven't managed to find any solutions to the problem. Possibly this is the problem your experiencing.
