Hi Folks,
well did a fresh install of Mandrake 8.1 (Last verision, downloaded the ISO.)
and Quake3/Team Arena etc. and it doesn't work.
Might be due to the Kernel. Using 2.4.10 because I wanted to have the
improved SB_5.1 Live sound drivers running.
Quake always crashes "bla -> Signal 11" when passing the sound
initialisation. option -nosound doesn't help here. Even then it crashes ...
Got a:
Athlon 1333 MHz System, Asus A7A266 Board (AliMagick Chipset), 512 DDR-Dram
266, Mandrake-8.1 using XFree-4.1, NVIdia Drivers - 1541 etc.
FYI, Unreal tournament, Terminus, Alpha Cantauri, Tribes II do have no
problems. I also installed the last point release -1.30 - didn't help.
Anyone got a hint ?
