yeah, thats what i thought initially when i enabled
IPchains support on the kernel. there is nothing on
the Documentations of the kernel that i should already
go for iptables so i stick it out with ipchains so
that i dont need to do much on that server.

my mdk 8 has ipchains and iptables working smoothly. i
can switch to ipchains or iptables mode. 

has any of you done upgrade from 2.2.x to 2.4 and got
ipchains working? 

please help. thanks.
