Hello everyone.  We are putting an 8.0 box through its paces and are having a problem getting Mandrake Update to work.  After selecting the packages that I want to update I get an error message telling me that it can't fulfill my wishes, then lists the package names and tells me that they are already installed.

I found this in /var/logs/messages:

Jun 28 09:13:28 sol kernel: cdrom: open failed.
Jun 28 09:13:28 sol kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0
Jun 28 09:13:28 sol kernel: hdd: No disk in drive

When I tell MDK Update to do its thing it does spin the floppy.  Do I need to have the installation CD in the bay for this to work?  Thanks in advance.
