[expert] External CDRW

Hello,
I'm going to buy an external CDRW. I'm thinking about:

- Phillips PCRW462K (Parallel por) 
- Phillips PCRW464K (USB) 
- HP CD-Writer 8230E (USB)

Since the list of supported hardware in 
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/fhard.php3 is outdated (may 2000),
my question is:
Are the USB external CDRWs supported by LM8.0?
I prefer USB, but, is the // support best?
Somebody has some of the models mentioned in this message?
