last week I posted a request for info...no answers so again ! does xinetd read its config file even with the attibutes set to nothing , ie no execute read , or write for either root, group, or user... this it seems to OR have mandrake shadowed the config files as a security measure. xinetd will read both etc/services and /etc/xinetd.conf with no attributes set.. This I need to know before upgrading to mandrake 8.0 TIA regards richard
