[expert] Two-server system

Hello, all:

I need to have two servers acting as a backup to each other. All files and 
directories should be in sync, and if one server fails, the other should take 
over automatically in order to keep the network functioning. Any pointers as 
to where I should start reading/investigating? Thank you.
