hi all, maybe this a too basic question to put in this area, but here it goes: i installed mandrake 7.2 on a system with monochrome display (60Hz only) and had to launch install using text-based interface. everything goes fine until it asks for root password, which nicely accepts, but never validates correctly during the first system boot, at the login prompt. could it be a parser error of the text-based setup program? i ran through this for three installations with no luck. the password was always 8 chars long. regards __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
