You're asking the wrong guy... I'm pretty much an idiot when it comes
to the kernel. No, I don't think there's a major reason to upgrade to
2.4.2, at least not that I know of. From my understanding (and this
may have been corrected by now), there is a problem with mounting
loopback filesystems with the 2.4.2 kernels... whethere this is still
the case or not, I do not know. I don't typically update kernels in
cooker each time a new one comes out, but I will probably update to
the 2.4.2 kernels soon (for testing purposes, etc.).
I could be wrong though... like I said, I'm not too big on the
kernel... I don't pay much attention to it.
