Yes. I have. Though at times, I'm not exactly sure how I managed it. And it actually works better from the tarballs, not src rpms. Though I think I did it the sencond time from those after upgrading XF4.0.1 to XF4.0.2. You'll find a great set of instructions on how to do this at mandrakeuser.org.
