First, please do not post the same problem three times, and second, the possibilities to solve your problem: 1.) Your printer is also supported by GIMP-Print. Try the entries HP DeskJet 520, CUPS+GIMP-print v4.0 HP DeskJet 520, Foomatic + stp-4.0 (GIMP-Print) Configure the options to optimize the output quality. 2.) The hpdj driver tries to print with 600 dpi in colour by default. If you want to use it, set up the options so that it prints with 300 dpi in grayscale, set also the "Model" option to "HP DeskJet 520". Your printer does not support 600 dpi.
