Open source, the most important implication of the GPL is that if you
make changes to the source, they must be made freely available. This is
the strength of the linux kernel and the reason people like IBM, etc use
it on watches, and others use it on other embedded devices. It means
development is much more efficient. If you aren't familiar with the GPL,
you should read it (there should be about 1000 copies of it on your
linux box) or go to http://www.gnu.org

The bonobo-rizing of Star Office will be more ecxiting, as it will allow
the embedding of all sorts of features into other applications.
