I had to change the ownership of the installation file to the user I wanted to use it as before I installed it. Once I did that I installed it as abe and I use it as abe. Root doesn't even know its there. Hey, I got quake3 to work but in the process I lost the ability for users other then root to use the sound card. I'm sure its just a permission thing but I don't know where to start. Anyone? I've got a soundblaster live card. The Emu10k1 module is started at boot time. Help me Obiwan Kenobi your my only hope!!!
