to answer my own question I found mirrordir which can mirror in both
directions.
but... rpm won't let me install it - I got the rpm from cooker
# rpm -ivh mirrordir-0.10.44-3mdk.i586.rpm
only packages with major numbers <= 3 are supported by this version of RPM
error: mirrordir-0.10.44-3mdk.i586.rpm cannot be installed
how do I get around this BS?
