I did actually get the webcam to work, though it was rather horrible. I had to get the kernel patch that came from the dev kernel. xawtv picked up the webcam, though I had to modprobe a few modules to get it to work. (ibmcam.o) (??) A few searches on dejanews gave me some results that helped a bit. Heck , If I had a usb - to - svideo hookup, I would be golden, as my Hauppauge WinTV works great with a video camera, but the camera shuts off if you are not taping, and I am not going to tape every web session. I am unable to give the exacts, as I am on my wifes computer.. while my computers are getting the ole switch around and upgrade. .. Athlon 800 here I come!
