Right now, there is no support for DVD. Expect that to change very soon.
Decoding software is available (Open Source) though the DVD CCA is screaming and
trying to get injunctions against it, claiming it will promote piracy.
In reality piracy was always possible, just burn the DVD bit for bit. The only
thing the decoder software does is eliminate the proprietary Decoder card and
remove the need for an expensive DVD player. Still, the folks who designed,
manufactured and overpriced the players are seeking legal protection from reverse
engineering. (Since when did this become legally protectable?)
Hmmmmmmphhhhhh!
http://home.highertech.net/~gigantor/
has a link for the 57K package called DeCSS.--most probably compiled for windows
http://www.opendvd.org/dvd-munitions.tar.gz has the 3328K linux source
And www.opendvd.org has the whole sordid story. Seems everyone thinks they can
act just like Microsoft.

6.1. Obviously, no distro-maker is likely to carry the stuff until the legal
entanglements are cleared. I rather expect the nonsense will be laughed out of
court and I hope someone tags the DVD CCA for a frivolous and capricious lawsuit.
