[expert] socks and Netscape

Hi,
 Ever since upgrading to Mandrake-6.1 from RH-5.1 on my internet
connected box,  I can't use socks5 with netscape to allow other local
hosts to browse the internet.  

Anyone here using socks5 with Mandrake-6.1?  If so, what did you do to 
configure it?
