Dan, I've got a V3-2k and Mandrake 6.0. I originally set it up
with the XFree86-3dfx rpm's, no problem. In 'XF86Setup' (best to use
with the voodoo's) it was listed at the top of the card list 3
times, Voodoo3-2000, -3000, and -3500. Later I upgraded from 3.3.3
to XFree86 3.3.5, then when running 'XF86Setup', it was listed near
the bottom of the card list as 'Voodoo 3 (generic)'. With XF 3.3.5
installed, I was then able to uninstall the XFree86-3dfx rpm's.
So run 'XF86Setup' again, the V3'll be there, just look towards
the bottom of the card list. Then you'll have it running on the 2d
side. To get the 3d accel. side going go to 3dfxgamers.com, they've
got instructions and links to needed files. After that, all you've
got left to do is figure out how to o/c it under Linux ;-)
