Try to start installation booting from a floppy with
the boot.img of Mandrake-5.x or download the new boot.img
from internet (.../Mandrake/updates/6.0/images).
When you are requested for installation CD you can safely
insert mandrake-6.0 CD. No problem if in the first part
of installation you receive messages such as "Welcome
to Mandrake-5.2" ... the second part is the matter.
It worked for me!
