Hi,

is my understanding correct that the ~/.exmh/exmh-defaults file name
is hard-coded and cannot be overwritten by any means like command line
option, environment variable or such?

EXMH's capability to remember size and location of windows etc. is
really nice - as long as you are working always on the same display.
owever, I switch a lot between different systems; I have a common
$HOME, but display resolution changes often. The window placement
that is convenient on a 2560x1440 display is not usable on a 1920x1200
one, and none of both are optimal for a standard full HD siaplay
(1920x1080). Also other adjustments (say, font sizes) would come in
handy.

It would be nice if I could make exmh select a defaults file that is
specific to the currently used display.

Can this be done? [without hacking the code, I mean...]

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Wolfgang Denk
