Oh. I see. It's in the online doc chapter 11 String expansions.

"A couple of expansion conditions do not expand some of the brace-delimited branches, for security reasons, and expansion of data deriving from the sender (“tainted data”) is not permitted (including acessing a file using a tainted name)."

So, using dovecot_lda delivery I have:

  command = /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f $sender_address

Exim4 does not like this. [Debian packaging on Ubuntu.]

Am I reading in various places this i current issue when using 4.96 and Dovecot?
