So your suggestion would be to try another exim version or to file a bug with the Ubuntu 18.04 package?
The machine was not suspended. According to the logfiles the problem exists since 2020-03-04 (last exim package update via apt before was in 2019-12, and then again in 2020-06). I found another post from this list (from July 2017) where you talked to somebody called Christian Balzer who had the same problem, but there seems to be no solution as of the last posting. -- Cheers Marc -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Exim-users [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von Jeremy Harris via Exim-users Gesendet: Donnerstag, 24. That's what you get for running an LTS distro, I suppose. Difficult to guess exactly what fixes from the original 4.90 have been picked up. There was one, involving Exim's notion of time slipping, and screwing up delays, which comes to mind given your two hours... It bit most spectacularly after a suspend/resume. I'm not sure if a system time adjustment operation would have dome the same, but I'd not be surprised. A brief search though git history for "time" throws up Bug 2615. (oh yes... source now comments "the Linux non-Posix behaviour"). -- Cheers, Jeremy -- ## List details at https://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-users ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://wiki.exim.org/ -- ## List details at https://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-users ## Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ## Please use the Wiki with this list - http://wiki.exim.org/
