"tourenwart@senderdomain" is a forwarder to an external adress at gmail. FROM: tourenwart@senderdomain TO: tourenwart@senderdomain Reply-To: tourenwart@senderdomain as you can see above, we do not have any line for the delivery attempt. There are no additional error messages, not hints, nothing. I think, that, for whatever reason, exim ended up in a deadlock of not being able to send an error message back to the sender, of not being able to send this message to the external forwarder.
