The role of the enterprise architect is more like that of a city planner than that of a building architect. An enterprise architect has professional relationships with executives at the client to gather and articulate the technical vision and to produce the strategic plan for realizing it. · Defines enterprise-wide architectural processes, policies, and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, selecting and adapting the proper architectural methods, governance, and technical standards necessary to realize a strategic landscape of IT systems.
