o   Manage the hardware asset management process and will perform the below
high level activities, but not limited to:

o    Responsible for designing and implementing processes and procedures
for tracking and analyzing hardware, and equipment from   procurement
through disposal / retirement.

§  Collaborate closely with Configuration manager.

§  Establish metrics and reporting for asset compliance.

§  Manage, monitor and regularly report on all aspects of the hardware
asset lifecycle

§  Research industry best practices and compare against organization’s
practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing hardware assets

§  Ensure effective management of BCBSA *ServiceNow* Asset Management
database

§  Mandatory to have working experience with ServiceNow

§  Document roadmap and strategy for Hardware Asset Management

§  Coordinate on hardware maintenance agreements.

§  Recommend desk side asset refresh plans.

§  Schedule, and coordinate on monthly reconciliations with Finance
department.

§  Coordinate on random floor inventory

§  Coordinate on hardware refresh and disposal processes covered in
*ServiceNow* workflows.

§  Collaborate with other cross functional teams for the assignments of IT
hardware and related products.

§  Coordinate on end user devices inventory with End User Services to
ensure accuracy.

§  Work with core computing on standard laptop models, etc.

§  Coordinate on internal audit responses.

§  Coordinate on external audit responses such as HiTrust, Soc2 and NIST

§  HAM certification (CHAMP)



*Software Asset Manager – Platform Focus: Servicenow*

§    Work with BCBSA product owner for ServiceNow to develop implementation
roadmap for Software Asset Management Professional module.

§   Document business requirements and use cases.

§   Complete development and delivery of Software Asset Management
Professional module.

§   Design and development of enhancements to Software Asset Management
Professional module to support continuing process improvement and maturity
of Software Asset Management database.

§  Manage the software asset management process and will perform the below
high level activities, but not limited to:

§  Manage, monitor and regularly report on all aspects of the software
asset lifecycle from procurement through disposal/retirement.

§  Perform vendor internal software audits to ensure usage does not exceed
license entitlements.

§  Conduct software model lifecycle for license reconciliation and true-up
activities.

§  Conduct proactive planning with software owners to ensure accurate
license requirements.

§  Assist with the design and workflow processes within ServiceNow BCBSA
Software Asset Management module

§  Manage software purchase information to establish an accurate and
complete summary of license entitlements.

§  Reconcile entitlements with software inventory information and build SAM
dashboards

§  Monitor, audit and ensure compliance with software licensing guidelines.

§  Document and maintain process for control and inventory management to
track accountability, identification, location, software maintenance
contracts and lifecycle status

§  Research industry best practices and compare against organization’s
practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing software assets
